Otology is the study of diseases of the ear, including trauma or injury, cancer, and nerve pathway disorders, which affect hearing and balance. Examples of ear disorders include chronic ear infection, swimmer’s ear, hearing loss, dizziness, ringing in the ears (tinnitus), or ear, face, or neck pain.
We specialize in pediatrics, geriatrics, balance, cochlear implants, hearing aids, tinnitus and auditory processing. Our services include:
- Evaluating hearing
- Counseling patients and their families and caregivers
- Fitting hearing aids
- Evaluating and treating balance disorders
- Determining an individual’s need for assistive devices
- Teach or refer to teaching of communication strategies, including speech reading
